Gel Electrophoresis

DNA fragments can be separated using a technique called Gel Electrophoresis. Students use an electric field to “push” pieces of DNA through a neutral gel based on fragment size. The arrangement of DNA in gel is unique to individuals. This data is used for many identification purposes, including crime scene analysis....
